Hybrid Contact Lenses

Hybrid lenses are relatively new to the contact lenses industry. A hybrid lens consists of a Rigid Gas Permeable (RGP) center for superior vision bonded to a soft skirt on the periphery for maximum comfort. The advantage of the hybrid lens is you get the clarity of vision that is associated with a rigid GP lens with the comfort of a soft lens. These lenses are a good choice for patients that need correction for astigmatism but can't find a soft lens that's stable and can't get comfortable with a GP lens.
